AMTE Fundraising Committee

The Finance Committee is a standing committee of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators and is situated within the organizational structure as a component of the headquarters. The purpose of the Finance Committee is to monitor the financial health of AMTE.

The finance committee will develop and monitor short- and long-term plans for the financial health of the AMTE organization across the activities of the divisions and headquarters.

The Finance committee is charged to promote the mission and goals of AMTE by:

  • Monitoring income and expenses by division by compiling, analyzing, and reviewing regular financial reports. 
  • Identifying ways to support the short- and long-term priorities of the organization through budgetary allocations.
  • Making recommendations to the Board for revenue generation and addressing expenses. 
  • Making recommendations for fiscal policy by fielding inquiries from Divisions and the Board and by proactively advising units within the Divisions on financial matters.
  • Providing to the Board a financial analysis of proposed projects.
  • Preparing an annual report for the AMTE Board of Directors.
