Elementary Mathematics Specialists (EMS) Task Force

The EMS Standards Task Force’s charge is to update the AMTE Standards for Elementary Mathematics Specialists: A Reference for Teacher Credentialing and Degree Programs to: 1) address the latest research; 2) align with AMTE’s Standards for the Preparation of Teachers of Mathematics and recent calls from partner organizations (e.g., NCSM, NCTM, TODOS); and 3) explicitly address issues of access and equity.
